Fed up with inflation? Not down with disappearing DEI initiatives? Or just looking to crush corporate greed? The answer for some may come in the form of a national economic boycott planned for Friday called “No Buy Friday” by some.
A grassroots group called The People’s Union USA urges Americans to take a day off from using credit cards on Friday. They call for consumers to boycott big retailers like Amazon, Walmart and Best Buy. And to hold off filling up their gas tank until the weekend. For last minute items on Friday, they advise using cash and making purchases at local stores.
To find out how people felt about the impending boycott, MCM went to Silver Spring to get some feedback.
After Friday, The People’s Union will continue its boycotts, targeting different retailers throughout the spring. Another total boycott is scheduled for April 18.
